Optoelectronics Engineer
Design and simulate the integrated photonic structures behind CYRAGATE, from waveguide geometry to full logic blocks.

Main responsibilities
- Design integrated photonic components on silicon nitride: waveguides, couplers and resonant structures.
- Simulate device behaviour with FDTD, EME or equivalent electromagnetic solvers.
- Translate logic-gate requirements into concrete optical geometries and tolerance budgets.
- Prepare layouts for tape-out and review them against foundry design rules.
- Correlate simulation against measured data and feed the difference back into the design.
- Document design decisions so they can be reused across the CYRAGATE library.
Requirements
- Degree in Photonics, Physics, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience designing integrated photonic circuits, ideally on silicon nitride or silicon-on-insulator.
- Working knowledge of at least one electromagnetic simulation tool (Lumerical, Tidy3D, MEEP, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with photonic layout tools and foundry design-rule workflows.
- Ability to work autonomously in a distributed team and to document work clearly.
